July 27, 2009On July 24, 2009, singer Alexia Rodriguez of Arizona's EYES SET TO KILL performed acoustically on Santa Rosa, California's 101.7 The Fox radio station inside the "Less Is More Lounge." Watch video footage of the appearance below.
"The World Outside", the sophomore album from EYES SET TO KILL, sold 2,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 9 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
Written and recorded by the band in Los Angeles with producer Dave Aguilera (ex-OTEP, BLEED THE DREAM) and mixed by Thom Flowers (THE ATARIS),"The World Outside" showcases the band's evolution from their screamo beginnings into powerful songwriters that resonate raw emotion.
"There were things that I put into this record that I've never told anyone before, not even my sister or some of my best friends," said EYES SET TO KILL's Alexia Rodriguez. "Writing was like therapy to me, because there are times when I feel so alone that I don't know how to express myself other than through music. This is who I am and what I do."
"Heights", the new video from EYES SET TO KILL, was directed by Black Fawn Films' Chad Archibald (ARISE AND RUIN, FAREWELL TO FREEWAY) in Los Angeles.
